Roberto LAZZERONI
Born in Pisa, Roberto Lazzeroni studied art and architecture in Florence. From the outset, he has always shown an interest in the phenomena of both the conceptual art world and radical design. In the early 1980s, he began to take an interest in industrial and interior design, a specialisation that he defined as "fundamental" for the next approach to the world of the "industrial product".After the experience with Ceccotti Collezioni that began in 1988, Roberto Lazzeroni began collaborating also with many other important companies. As a connoisseur of the history of design and its associated signs, he is highly skilled at putting this knowledge into practice on a daily basis.Speaking of his own projects, Lazzeroni uses the expression "sentimental conception"; indeed, it is easy, even for the untrained eye, to see the tension between past and future in these works. Roberto Lazzeroni has an extremely dynamic career path that now allows him to be involved in various projects and obtain prestigious collaborations in contract design, interior design and art direction, in different parts of the world. The prizes he has won include: Techniques Discrètes (Paris, 1991), Conran Foundation Museum (London, 1992), Elegant Techniques (Chicago, 1992), La Fabbrica Estetica (Paris, 1993), Dall'Albergo alla Nave (Genoa, 1993), Costruire il mobile (Milan 1999).
