Draga Obradovic began her career in the fashion industry, working first in London and Milan as a textile designer before finally settling in Como. Aurel K. Basedow graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan with a degree in Fine Art, having trained as a carpenter and cabinetmaker. Thanks to their friendly methods, combined with an artist's approach to materials and composition, Draga & Aurel are widely recognised for their clever reinvention of bespoke vintage design pieces. The Salone del Mobile 2009 introduced the duo to the world stage, and partnerships with Italian leather manufacturer Baxter, wallpaper brand Wall&Deco and leading American fashion retailer Anthropologie have taken the duo's field beyond the reinvention of singular vintage pieces.
