Initially a manufacturer of household items, the Tolix brand quickly distinguished itself in metal furniture production, notably with the famous and timeless A chair, featured in the collections of MoMa and the Centre Pompidou. The Lames Tolix stool, part of the Patio collection, perfectly embodies the brand’s expertise by combining strength and elegance, seamlessly integrating into any contemporary space. After the passing of Xavier Pauchard, his son Jean took over the reins and successfully carried on his father’s work. Under his leadership, icons such as the 55 table and the A56 armchair were created, remaining essential pieces in Tolix's catalog. Jean Pauchard continued to expand the company by responding to public tenders, such as that of the University of Dijon, which led to the creation of the "UD" chair, a perfect fusion of functionality and aesthetics.
