Fredericia's Soborg chair was designed by Borge Mogensen in 1952. The design provides a satisfying contrast between industrial and hand-crafted techniques, as well as between the properties of wood and steel. All this combined with a light and balanced aesthetic. A true functionalist, Mogensen believed that furniture should encourage freedom of personality. With its unobtrusive design, sturdy construction and generous proportions, the Soborg chair expresses this idea perfectly in any environment, whether at home, in a restaurant or in a workspace.
