Loop Stand Hall coat rack was created by Leif Joergensen for Hay. The designer created a range of furniture for the Danish brand that echoes simplicity and accessibility. This everyday household accessory is the result of simplifying an industrial trestle with three legs. Inspired by the traditional easel, the designer has created a self-supporting graphic and sculptural coat rack, emphasising the three-dimensional look of its steel tubes. Loop Stand Hall coat rack was originally designed for the Storm shop in Copenhagen, where designer Leif Joergensen was the designer.
Hay was founded in 2002 to promote Danish design, and instead of strictly adhering to the style of the old masters, Hay reinvents their work in a more contemporary context. The company Hay reinterprets classic Nordic design forms in a modern setting, offering friendly, aesthetic, and functional designs. Hay draws inspiration from three main sources: art, architecture, and fashion, while paying particular attention to the surrounding environment and contemporary culture. The goal of Hay is to revive Danish design furniture from the 1950s and 60s. The Hay chairs perfectly embody this spirit: a timeless and minimalist design that combines comfort and functionality with modern lines.
