Inspiré par le grand nombre de combinaisons possibles avec les outils et les boulons présents dans son gigantesque atelier, Joost van Bleiswijk commence par jouer avec, et finit par construire et créer un nouvel objet insolite : la Construction Lamp. Ce luminaire reprend la forme classique du lampadaire avec un pied large sur lequel repose un grand abat-jour. La modernité de cet objet édité par Moooi vient de la conception du pied qui oscille entre jeu de construction pour enfants et échafaudage, en contrastant avec un choix de matériaux qui le rendent élégant et léger.

Marcel Wanders became known within the renowned group of designers, Droog Design. In 2001, he founded the company Moooi, which means "beautiful" in Dutch. The Moooi collection features fanciful and offbeat style, which is sometimes even provocative, and as such produces extraordinary, head-turning pieces. From the Little Bold candlestick to the Chess coffee table, the avant-garde design surprises and the industrial objects fuse reverie with the unusual. Marcel Wanders also collaborates with internationally-renowned designers such as Ross Lovegrove, Studio Job and Ron Gilad.
