The Dorval collection is the result of an encounter between contemporary design and a more nostalgic industrial aesthetic. Dorval is the marketable version of a pendant-light prototype created by the Parisian studio SCMP DESIGN OFFICE. It is produced exclusively by the Lambert & Fils' Montreal workshop. Composed of four aluminium heads, the Dorval pendant light is inspired both by runway lights and by the essential attributes of a chandelier. Each head can be oriented to distribute light in any direction, while the precision of each component keeps the lamp balanced and aligned. These features make Dorval an impressive and attractive light fitting. Its industrial origins and striking shape ensure it a place in a variety of spaces: above the dining table, as a mood light in the living room or even in an office.
Lambert & Fils is a lighting design studio founded by Samuel Lambert in 2010.
Lambert & Fils is active in the lighting sector, where technology and design combine to create original and surprising lights. The Lambert & Fils concept is "the poetry of materials"; light is studied in all its forms, based on the volumes and importance of the "première matière", at the origin of all creations. Designers at Lambert & Fils source their inspiration from everything, from the industrial era to modernism, and from children’s toys and nature itself, and revisit classic forms to create unique lights that both modern and anchored in tradition.
