Description
The Jacques collection includes sofas, armchairs and poufs of various sizes with a common creative root, translating a rather retro look into a resolutely contemporary style. A sophisticated aesthetic language that is expressed in soft shapes, reduced proportions and visually striking details, such as the metal base in Light Bronze finish. The refined elegance and compact proportions that characterise all the chairs in the Jacques collection allow these pieces to fit gracefully into any context – whether home or hotel – and to coordinate easily with the new seating systems. Produced by Minotti, the Jacques bergère, available with swivel or fixed legs, owes its great comfort to the soft padding of the seat and backrest – perfect for spaces dedicated to relaxation.

Jasper MORRISON
Born in London in 1959, Jasper Morrison studied at the Royal College of Art in London and continued his studies at the Berlin School of Fine Arts. In 1986, Jasper Morrison set up his own design studio in London. He attracted attention with the clear concepts of his installations "Reuters News Center" at documenta 8 in Kassel and "Some new items for the home" at the DAAD gallery in Berlin, which presented objects with highly refined lines in reaction to the formal exuberance of postmodernism. He became the pioneer of the "New Simplicity": a concept translated into a design imbued with simplicity and seriousness. His furniture creations include lamps, interior accessories and textiles, as well as a tramway for the city of Hanover and a bus stop for the Vitra site. Jasper Morrison adopts a rationalist approach to manufacturing processes and advocates an aesthetic devoid of superfluous details. This 'super normal' design has won over many manufacturers (Canon, Sony) and design brands such as Alessi, Flos (the Glo-Ball lamp), Cappellini (the surprising Thinking Man's Chair), SCP and Vitra, which gives a prominent place to its pieces in the Vitra Home range, including the Cork stools in natural cork.

ALESSI
In 1921, Giovanni Alessi founded the Italian company Alessi. Since 1929, the company has focussed on producing nickel- or silver-plated copper tableware. When Carlo Alessi, Giovanni's son, was appointed design director in 1935, handcrafting methods were replaced by industrial manufacturing. In 1955, the company began collaborating with world-renowned architects and designers such as Richard Sapper, Ettore Sottsass, and later, Philippe Starck and Marcel Wanders. Alessi makes design accessible by focussing on useful, humorous and visually appealing home accessories. Most of its products have become design classics that are sold and exhibited around the world.
