Designed in 1935, the Utrecht armchair is a design classic, perfectly symbolising the work of Gerrit Thomas Rietveld with its elementary geometric forms. Fully upholstered, it is an armchair that goes back to basics, with the only aesthetic detail being the stitching that enhances the lines of the seat. Reissued by Cassina, Utrecht is made up of a steel supporting structure, padded with polyurethane foam and polyester wadding. This low armchair fits easily into any interior thanks to its reduced proportions and its design that has been handed down through the generations.
